Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state said on Saturday that the governors and leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, have agreed not to repeat the mistakes that cost the party the country’s leadership in 2015. The Governor, speaking at the PDP’s North Central Congress in Makurdi, praised the party for holding a rancour-free congress, demonstrating the party’s resolve to ensure fairness in all of its activities. According to him, “the success of the Zonal Congress will move and inspire the other five states in the zone, and by the grace of God, the North Central zone will be controlled by the PDP as it was previously.”
“I applaud party members for ensuring a peaceful Congress. And I want to challenge those who have been elected to ensure that issues of fairness, equity, and justice are given top priority.
