Six (6) suspects have been arrested by the FCT Police Command for one chance/armed robbery along the Zuba and Lugbe axis.

Among those suspected are: Ishmael Peter, 31, and Omeka Kadiru, 20, were apprehended in the early hours of Thursday, April 29, 2021 by eagle-eyed Police detectives from Zuba Division on routine patrol while attempting to depose their victim of her belongings.

The suspects, who pose as commercial drivers, admitted to luring their unsuspecting victims (women) into their operational vehicle before carrying out their heinous act.

One (1) red Toyota Corolla with registration number BWA 782 BD, one fabricated Beretta pistol, six (6) rounds of live ammunition, one (1) plyer, one (1) chisel, two (2) ATM cards, one (1) camouflage cap and vest, three (3) different Number Plates, seven (7) human hair-WEAVES, and ten (10) mobile phones were recovered.

Other items include a set of keys, two (2) pairs of female shoes, four (4) female handbags, a cash sum of one hundred and twenty thousand, one hundred twenty naira (N128,120.00), one (1) invoice booklet, one (1) lighter, six (6) pieces of female clothing, and other items.

In a related development, police officers from the Lugbe Division arrested Emmanuel Joseph, 26 years old, Thankgod Abam, 26 years old, Gabriel Joshua, 27 years old, and Ekene Nwatu, 31 years old, all men, for robbery. 


The suspects admitted to terrorizing the Lugbe axis and defrauding unsuspecting residents of their belongings. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include a red Toyota Corolla with registration number BDG 648 EZ, six (6) plasma TVs, jewelry, and several household items.
