Governor Akeredolu Reveals What He Will Miss About His Late Mother

by Totori News

Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo State Governor, has remembered his late mother.

The governor on Saturday said that his mother, Grace, who died on Thursday at 90, chose the best time to leave the world.

Speaking at his mother’s residence in Ibadan when members of the enlarged Ondo State Executive Council led by the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, paid him a condolence visit at the Orogun area of Ibadan, the governor said many of those who visited him would not have done so if his mother had  died after his exit from office.

Akerodulu said his  mum died 42 years after her husband died, describing her as ‘’a highly favoured person and a product of abundant  grace of God who was survived by her seven children.’’

He said, “ My mum chose a very good time to leave and that is why you are all here. If she had waited till around 2026 or after that, many of you would not have come here.

“She lived a fulfilled and meaningful life. She is an epitome of the biblical virtuous woman and dutiful wife. My mother was a prayer warrior. What I will miss most in her is the intercessory prayers. Anytime you put a call through to her, the response was always, ‘let us pray’.

“I thank God for her life. Necessary arrangements are being made to move her body to Ondo State for a befitting burial.”

The deputy governor earlier in his speech said the deceased  would be remembered for her words of wisdom and biblical counsels
