Gunmen are said to have killed four people in the Kono Boue community of Rivers State’s Khana Local Government Area.

The gunmen allegedly stormed the neighborhood on Saturday and opened fire indiscriminately, killing four people.

They were said to have fired AK-47s at any young man they saw.

It was discovered that the assailants made off with some residents’ cellphones.

Lekara Bira, 32, and Torka, 40, were among the victims.

Golden Nwibakpo, a spokesman for the local community development committee, said the deceased were law-abiding citizens.
