Bauchi Police Command has rescued two persons from Kidnappers’ hideout situated in a forest in Alkeleri Local Government Area.
The duo, 19-year-old Adamu Alhaji Usman (male) and Sahara Alhaji Sunusi ‘ aged 17yrs (female) of Garin Bakwai village were rescued following a joint patrol by the Police team in Alkaleri Division in collaboration with the Danga security outfit who combed the forest on a rescue mission.
Bauchi Police spokesman, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who confirmed the development in a statement said the team engaged the armed kidnappers in a gun battle and recovered four motorcycles.
He added the victims were rushed to the hospital to receive medical attention while the suspected kidnappers escaped with varying degrees of injuries sustained in the battle.
